Health Plans

Wise Benefits makes setting up health care plans a rewarding experience by meeting the evolving needs of our clients and their employees.

We strive to manage the effects of rising health care costs and how those costs impact employees. Important issues such as doctor and hospital networks, pharmacy management, and helpful customer service should be examined closely before choosing a carrier.

The proper understanding of health related issues by employees can prevent employee absenteeism and lost productivity .

Dental Plans

Dental is the second most requested benefit by employees.

Dental premiums are relatively stable due to the insurance carriers' ability to project utilization. We offer many Dental plans from 2 to 2,000 employees.

Voluntary dental is also available and can be helpful to an employer by simply adding it to the benefit package at no cost to the company since the employees pay the premium.

Group Life Insurance

Depending on the employer's industry, life rates can be very affordable for the company. Group Life Insurance can be divided into different levels such as administrative, non-administrative etc.

Optional “buy up” plans can be offered upon request and dependent life is also available.

Disability Insurance

Disability Insurance policies can vary greatly depending on length of the term, elimination periods and /or how rich the benefit provisions may be.

Many employers are not aware that voluntary disability can be the best alternative for an employee who is disabled in regards to actual take home pay.

We help employers explore different maximum benefits based on the varying employee pay levels. Higher paid individuals should receive a larger disability payment based on their pay level.

Voluntary Benefits

Basic Health Plans

Through Markel Corporation, one of our affiliates, we offer an inexpensive health plan for the hourly or part time employee that may not be able to afford the full array of Health Benefits.

This plan is not comprehensive major medical insurance…it is a lower cost alternative providing fixed premiums and limited benefits. Since 68% of the population has annual medical expenditures of less than $1,000 and 80% incur less than $2,000, this may be a viable option. contactus@agu.net
